At Tall Crane Equipment, we are all about safety. Our very existence is founded upon the idea that safety in hoist and crane operation should be compulsory. As a hoist provider, we offer a variety of services that will improve the safety practices on any jobsite.

In 1980, Jim Hickey saw a need for proper training and professional operation in the Canadian hoist and crane industry. After buying a couple of second-hand cranes and hoists, Jim started Tall Crane Equipment under the mindset of creating a safe, well-maintained standard of hoisting operations within the crane industry. After over 35 years, we have obtained over a hundred units and developed a service and maintenance program that has helped to revolutionize hoist safety standards across Canada.

Who Tall Crane Equipment is Today

We offer services and rentals for our own construction cranes and many client owned cranes. Personnel hoists have become a major focus for our company. As a licensed elevator contractor, we maintain hundreds of hoists across Western Canada. Our business has become more streamlined and focused over the years, but we have never lost sight of our focus on increasing safety standards for workers and jobsites.
